How do I download CxAlloy software?

CxAlloy software is provided as a subscription service through your web browser. There is no software to install.

How do I update CxAlloy software?

CxAlloy software is provided through your web browser. There is no software to install at any time. We will notify you of any updates or changes.

Help, I’ve forgotten my password!

If you have forgotten your password, select the “Forgot your password” link in the login area. You will be brought to a new page that will allow you to reset your password. You can also change your password from your account page.

Does CxAlloy software work on all web browsers? What about an Apple computer?

CxAlloy software is designed to work on many browsers in both Mac and PC environments. This includes Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and most mobile devices with JavaScript enabled. We strive to keep up-to-date with the latest web browser changes.

Can I get a refund?

Paid accounts can be downgraded or cancelled at any time, and you will not be charged again. We do not offer refunds on any charges that have already been incurred for the current billing cycle.

How secure is my data?

The security and privacy of your personal, payment, and project information is very important to us. CxAlloy software uses enterprise grade hosting environments and employs industry standard means to protect data. See our security page for more details.

Will my same login information work across all CxAlloy products?

No, your login information is specific to each CxAlloy product. However, you can have an account in more than one CxAlloy product using the same email address. If you have logins for more than one CxAlloy product, changing your password in one product (i.e., CxAlloy TQ) will not affect your password in the other products.

CxAlloy TQ® Questions

How can I manage multiple buildings in CxAlloy TQ?

CxAlloy TQ fully supports multiple buildings, each with their own floors and spaces. In a project with multiple buildings, we recommend that you use a prefix for your room names and numbers to give each space a unique name. This will make it easy to distinguish the space in a list.

For example, we recommend that you use a prefix for your room names and numbers to indicate the building they are in. For example, if you have two Room 302s, one in Building A and Building B, we recommend you name the two rooms A-302, B-302, respectively.

When I assign an issue to a person, will he or she be notified?

Notifications are dependent on each user's notification settings. If the assigned person has assignment notifications turned on, he or she will be notified. All users start with notifications turned on. Your notification preferences can be changed in your profile page.

If you want to notify a user about an issue regardless of their notification settings, you can navigate to the issue you would like to send and click “Email.”

What is the “Project Shortname” field for?

The project shortname is used to name downloaded files. For example, if your project shortname were “Proj,” the filename for a downloaded issues log would be “Proj_Issues_20XX-XX-XX.pdf.”

Can I export my data?

Yes, you can export your data at any time. To export your data, navigate to the data you would like to export and click “Export.” Your data is exported as comma-separated values (.csv), a spreadsheet format that opens in Excel and other spreadsheet programs.

I added someone with an incorrect email address. What do I do?

You’ll need to remove the incorrect record and add the person again with the correct email address. In the “People” section, find the person with the incorrect email address. Select the person and click “Delete” at the top right of the person’s view. You can now add the user again using the correct email address.

CxAlloy FM® Questions

Why don’t some of my schedules show a “Next Due Date”?

“Upon Completion” schedules do not show a “Next Due Date.” This is because these schedules do not follow a set schedule, but are instead dependent on the completion of other work orders. Because of this variability, the software cannot predict the next due date.

Is there a way to keep my filters on a list when returning to the list after navigating away?

Yes. Using your browser’s back button will return you to your filter list. To get back to the default unfiltered list, use the menu bar (i.e., click “Work Orders” in the menu).

Is there a way to change the default list view from showing the first 25 records?

No. At this time, every time you return to a list (even when using the browser’s back button), the list will initially show only the first 25 records, even if you previously clicked the “Show All” button.

Can I change when the daily digest email is sent?

The daily digest email is sent every day at 9:00 AM, relative to your facility’s timezone. If you would like to change when the daily digest email is sent for your facility, you can email CxAlloy Support at support@cxalloy.com.

When are scheduled work orders generated?

Scheduled work orders are generated once a day at midnight (relative to your facility’s timezone).
